Description

I got the the Orange Islands while playing the ROM hack Liquid Crystal the other day and I managed to catch the Crystal Onix. Much to my dismay, once I evolved him, he was just a regular Steelix without being Shiny or having special abilities. 
It did however spark the idea of a crystal Steelix. I wanted him to retain both crystal and steel aspects so I thought that the Onix would be coated by the steel coat and just fragments of crystal would remain exposed. The crystal itself would also become compressed making it more like diamond.

Hands down my favorite Steel-type... it's in my top five Pokémon.

I really like your design! It also made me think: what if shiny Pokémon didn't just have different colors, but also had unique patterns? That would be way cool!
